Wood Sliding Patio Door Replacement Project

When this Albuquerque couple decided to add an addition to their 32-year-old home, they took advantage of the opportunity and replaced a few other windows as well. The project consisted of a combination of Designer Series® wood windows and Impervia® fiberglass windows with between-the-glass blinds.  The homeowners chose to use casement and sliding windows throughout.  The couple wanted between-the-glass blinds to accommodate for their four rescue dogs. We used Pella's Slimshades®, which allow for the shades to be tilted up and down, instead of just having them completely open or closed. The addition to the home was in the living room, so the couple also decided to add a set of sliding doors to open up to the patio.
