Vinyl Windows - Which frame is best?In a previous post covering window material options, we talked about wood and its many benefits. In this installment – Part 2 of 3 – we look at vinyl windows.

As we mentioned previously, the best window frame for your home often comes down to personal choice. Pella Omaha sells a wide variety of windows made from three main materials: wood, vinyl and fiberglass. Each material has its own unique benefits, so while we might not be able to tell you definitively which window frame material is best for your particular home, we can tell you about the benefits of each and hopefully make your decision a much easier one.

As for vinyl, this is a very popular choice of window frame material because it is often the most affordable option. But affordability isn’t the only advantage that vinyl offers. Consider these positives for choosing vinyl:

  • Insulation for your Home– Vinyl windows help keep heat in during those cold Omaha winters, and they help keep the heat out during the Omaha area’s notoriously hot and humid summers. Vinyl is made from a plastic material called polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and it provides a significant amount of insulation.
  • Low Maintenance – Vinyl windows are scratch-resistant. In addition, they don’t have to be painted, scraped or stained, and they are easy to clean with soap and water. Because of the property of the material, they can hold up to the elements for years.
  • Variety –Vinyl windows come in a variety of styles.

Below, we take a closer look at the variety of vinyl windows offered by Pella Omaha and list even more benefits of this affordable and durable choice for window replacement. First, the Pella® 350 Series, followed by the Encompass by Pella®.
