Pella Windows and Doors of Wisconsin Year in Review

2016 was an exceptional year for Pella Windows & Doors of Wisconsin, which is why we decided to take a look back at what we accomplished and highlight how our partners around the state used Pella products in their impressive projects.

Supporting Great Causes in Wisconsin

Giving back to the Wisconsin communities we serve is an important part of our company's culture. Our employees and our contributions reflect that commitment.

In October, dozens of Pella Windows & Doors of Wisconsin workers and their family members participated in the Green Bay chapter of Making Strides Against Breast cancer to help raise funds and awareness. Our team raised $2,500 for the cause!

We also got involved in an inspirational program called Operation Finally Home (OFH), which helps injured Wisconsin war veterans by giving them a mortgage-free home.

Pella partner, Belman Homes in Waukesha, is building its second OFH home, which is scheduled to finish construction in 2017. We are honored to donate all the windows for the home of Army Specialist Phillip Olson.

Changes and Growth

Pella Windows & Doors of Wisconsin continues to see growth in the state as we expand our options and services.

Greg Adamec

Greg Adamec

In 2016, we began offering millwork to help customize our windows and doors with exterior and interior finishing. As part of that update, we hired building industry veteran, Greg Adamec, to be our general manager of millwork.

"My passions are in business development and driving bottom-line results," said Adamec. "I am thrilled to carry those passions with me as I start down this new path with the great team members of Pella Windows & Doors of Wisconsin."

We're on the move in the Milwaukee area! Pella will have a new permanent location for our Brookfield showroom in 2017 after purchasing the former Fun World building on Elizabeth Court, just north of Bluemound Road.

"This new showroom gives us an excellent home in the Milwaukee area," Pella Windows & Doors co-owner Mike Calawerts says. "It's going to allow us to better serve both our residential and commercial customers in this part of the state. We can't wait for people to get a look inside."

Awards and Recognition

Trophy

It's nice to be recognized for doing the right thing ... especially when the recognition comes from people and organizations we respect!

People in the Green Bay area showed us they appreciate our quality work, products, and customer service when they voted Pella Windows & Doors of Wisconsin Best of the Bay in 2016.

On a larger scale, Pella Corporation was once again recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy (DOE). The company was named an EnergySTAR® Partner of the Year for the ninth year in a row!

Pella's dedication to developing innovative, energy efficient windows and doors is helping homeowners and businesses save money and stay comfortable while helping to protect the planet and conserve natural resources at the same time.

Incredible Projects from Pella Partners in 2016

From Madison to Upper Michigan, it's always exciting for us to see Pella products being used in residential and commercial projects. This year, we asked the builders we partner with to send us photos and details from some of their work that featured our windows and doors. Here is what they came up with.

Pella Partner: Simon Builders
Location:  Fox Lake, Wisconsin

Michael F. Simon Builders of Waunakee won a special Year in Review contest we had for builders, architects, and home designers. One look at this beautiful, waterfront home in Fox Lake and you can see why project like these get our team excited to see Pella products in a real home.

The homeowners wanted this new construction project to feel like a 100-year-old residence that replicated a home in French Normandy, and they wanted all the details to be accurate.

"This included period appropriate finishes in every room right down to the artwork, furnishings, two button light switches and even the windows," says Vice President Paul Simon, a fourth generation member of this family-owned Wisconsin builder.

Simon Builders used Pella's Architect Series windows and Pella entry doors with a rustic, walnut exterior to get the right look.

Traditional Shingled Gambrel Retreat

DeLeers Home

Pella Partner: DeLeers Construction
Location: Egg Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin

DeLeers Construction of De Pere worked with home designer Mitch Wise to construct this charming retreat in Door County. The Egg Harbor home features a gambrel roof, which is also known as a "Dutch roof."

You can see how the windows help give this project some additional character, especially the oval-shaped windows at the top of the arches. Patio doors in the living area provide easy access to a stone patio with a view of Lake Michigan.

Lake Muskego Lake Home

Pella Partner: Aspen Homes
Location:  Muskego, Wisconsin

Pella Impervia® windows add distinct style to this property on Little Lake Muskego in Waukesha County. They provide a classy black interior and exterior finish as well as a gorgeous view of the water and the dock that juts out into the lake from the property.

The window frames are constructed with Duracast®, Pella's exclusive, extremely durable fiberglass product. The people at Aspen Homes tell us the owners moved in during the fall and love their windows. That's what we like to hear!

Custom Log Cabin

Custom Log Cabin

Pella Partner:  Rod Flohr Construction
Location:  Tomahawk, Wisconsin

Up in Wisconsin's Northwoods is where you'll find this rustic retreat. Rod Flohr Construction in Tomahawk led the project using plenty of eye-catching geometric shapes to create the window design in the front of this log cabin style home.

Northern Wisconsin Getaways

Cornerstone Custom Builders Home

Pella Partner: Cornerstone Custom Builders
Location: Various Northern Wisconsin Communities

Another Wisconsin builder that knows how to capture the "up north feel" is Cornerstone Custom Builders of Eagle River. They sent us a collection of six different homes featuring Pella products.

Check out the pictures below to see custom cabins and cottages built in places like St. Germain, Land 'O Lakes, and Conover. We especially like how the charming green shutters with pine tree cutouts accent the Pella windows in the home with the shingled exterior.

Looking Ahead to 2017
