This Pittsford, New York, homeowner wanted replacement windows that would help keep the heat out as well as sounds from the nearby highway.

We installed dual pane double-hung windows from the Pella® Lifestyle Series with low-e glass to help keep the heat out and and 3mm/5mm STC sound glass. Between-the-glass grilles on the windows also make for easy maintenance.

We also added PVC crown molding on the exterior above the double window, which was a small detail, but one that helped maintain continuity among all the windows and that the customer was pleased that we noticed.

About The Author

I have worked for Pella branches since 2014. I have my degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering from Purdue University.

My family worked in carpentry and construction, so I have worked in and around construction since I was a kid. I started at a pro yard – Carter Lumber - in 2006 as a “yard specialist/certified lumber stacker” and worked as an Inside/Outside sales person, estimator, designer, and driver.  I’ve worked with many custom home builders and architects on their projects and I enjoyed the challenge of working and thinking outside of the box to come up with solutions for unique construction situations. I was recently relocated to Western New York from the Northern Indiana branch to mentor new representatives and I’ve decided to stay!

I love spending time with my family, I’m a huge fan of exploring the new areas around Rochester and finding new local places to dine.  I’m also an avid skier and when I moved here I started teaching at Bristol Mountain part time.  In the summer, I like to mountain bike and hike.  I’m looking forward to visiting many new places around the great state of New York.

What I like most about my job? Meeting new people and providing them with a professionally-planned solution to their problem.  Following through with that solution from concept to completion. Nothing makes my day more than the final result of an extremely satisfied client that gets to enjoy and be more comfortable in their home!
