Project Details

The bathroom in this 27-year-old Cary, Illinois house needed a major revamp. Not only did the homeowners wish to modernize the look and feel of their primary bathroom, but they also wanted to improve durability and privacy in the space. A Pella 250 Series vinyl window with obscure glass addressed each of these concerns, bringing about a stunning transformation.

New White Window Modernizes Bathroom

The existing dark-stained wood window in this bathroom made the space feel a little drab and outdated. As part of their whole bathroom remodel project, the homeowners hoped to brighten the space and incorporate more modern style. By replacing the old brown window with a new white window, the space now feels lighter and larger. Plus, the white color complements the new marble countertops, cabinets and mirror. Featuring grille-less glass with minimalist frames, this modern window epitomizes sleek, contemporary style.

Vinyl Window Adds Durability to Bathroom

The new vinyl window material helps minimize the negative effects of humidity and moisture in the bathroom. Vinyl windows are very easy to care for and never require painting or refinishing. Pella's fade-resistant vinyl formula is performance tested for excellent weathering, durability and color retention, meaning this window is built to last. The homeowners are happy to no longer worry about rot and corrosion in their old wood window.

Obscure Bathroom Window Glass Provides Privacy

Given that this upper-level bathroom window faces neighboring houses, it was important to the homeowners the new window provide privacy. In the past, they had to add window treatments like blinds or curtains to keep the space private. This prevented light from entering, making the bathroom feel dark and confined. Luckily, Pella offers a best-of-both-worlds solution. The homeowners decided to put obscure glass in the window, which acts as a privacy film that still allows light to filter in.

When asked about their window replacement experience, the homeowners shared that they are “extremely happy with the new window and want Pella to come back and quote new windows for the rest of the house!” We’re proud to have played a role in this bathroom remodel and would love to assist with your next window or door project, too.
