Complete Entry Door Transformation

This project in Kildeer, IL is from a long time satisfied Pella customer. The home was built in 2000 and was in need of a new entry door. The old entry door was drafty and not the stunning entrance the homeowner wanted. Our customer very specifically wanted a real wood, double entry door  for better access and more light. His old single door with side lights was too small of an opening. 

The challenge was that it required an odd shaped transom over a double door. We took the customer's wish list into consideration and designed a door that fit his vision perfectly. The design met all of his 'wants' -- specifically the mahogany real wood material and the double door. He chose a gorgeous custom Cherry stain.

With our real wood entry door we were able to do the double door, even with the curved transom overhead. The decorative glass allows much more light in the entryway. The hardware has an oil rubbed bronze finish.

It took a bit longer for Pella to custom make the door but it was so worth the wait.  My new front door looks spectacular and I received many compliments from my neighbors – “Where’d you get that door?”, “Who finished that off?”.  I hated leaving the Pella products at my prior house but knew I had to have Pella products again!  For the Pella purchase at my current house in Kildeer, working with Jeremy Newman made it a breeze and easy!  Having a colonial style house, most have double hung windows but I opted again for casements which made the house pop!  I knew exactly what I wanted and Jeremy made it happen – I would highly recommend him as a sales rep  In spring, I will have the last of my casements installed and bring another Pella purchase to a close.  Until my next house – I’m a Pella fan for life!"
