Derek joined Gunton a little over a month ago, on January 22nd, and just fully transitioned into the HR Administrator position a little over a week ago.
So far his favorite thing about the company is how helpful and friendly everyone has been to him. He feels everyone is always helpful Derek said, "Everyone is always ready to help each other because they want to see each other succeed. There is a lot of positive energy running through Gunton and everyone is contributing to that,"
Derek's originally from the Youngstown area and a 2017 Lake Erie College graduate. Outside of work he's an avid golf fan and likes to follow the PGA tour. He'd like to attend a couple of the tournaments this year in order to knock it off his bucket list.
Outside of work and golf, Derek's best friend is his little one year old niece as he doesn't have any kids or pets yet. He actually shares the same birthday with his brother, just four years apart.
