Patio Chairs and Furniture We Love
Posted on June 10, 2020 in Pella Windows & Doors of Columbus
There are a lot of factors that go into making a great patio—from the deck, to your patio door, to the décor and color scheme. Often, you can tie all these elements together and even base them off your patio seating! Almost every day we work on patios and their counterparts, giving us the opportunity to see some beautiful examples of patio design and chair/seating arrangements. Here are some of the patio furniture types we love and what you should think about when considering them for your home.
Plastic, Wrought Iron or Wood chairs
While these types of patio furniture are extremely practical, they can lack comfort, especially if you don’t have cushions. However, if you need to move your patio furniture often or don’t use your patio frequently other than when you watch the kids play in the yard, these patio furniture types will be perfect for you.
Patio Tables with Chairs
While these come in a wide variety, there are a few things to think about when purchasing a patio table set. The size of your family and how often you entertain guests will help you choose the proper size. In addition, whether or not your patio area is covered will determine what type of patio and patio accessories you might need.
Patio Sofas with Living Areas
These are great options for homeowners who like to entertain guests but aren’t necessarily worried about having a table to eat at. Patio sofas usually give off a more casual vibe for your outdoor space. One key thing to take into consideration is the sofa material quality, as sofas can, sometimes, be difficult to move.
Hanging Patio Chairs
Hanging patio chairs are beautiful and extremely trendy. Not only do they add a beautiful and unique element to the design of your patio, but they can be extremely comfortable too. While there are some that hang from their own set, others require you to secure them from above. Not all patios have this capability, so make sure you keep this in mind when choosing the right hanging patio chair for your home.
Patio Sectionals with Fire Pits
While similar to patio sofas, patio sectionals are great for homeowners who have guests over in the evenings often. These can also be great for families with children who like a delicious toasted marshmallow!
Rocking chairs are a classic type of patio furniture, great for families with young ones around. Like patio sofas, though, they can be difficult to move. Before choosing the right rocking chair, make sure the material is highly durable.
Chaise lounges are more contemporary than other patio options, but still remain beautiful additions for any modern setup. It's key to consider the amount of space chaise lounges take up. If you're short on space or would like other patio furniture to accommodate many guests, these may not be the best option for you.
Patio swings are beautiful and extremely relaxing. You do, however, encounter similar compromises as you do with chaise lounges and hanging patio chairs. Often, when they support themselves, patio swings can take up a considerable amount of space and when they do not, you’ll need a solid structure from which to hang it from.
