As a 2019 Dayton Dragons sponsor, Pella Windows of Dayton had the honor of throwing the Dragons’ first pitch during their game against the West Michigan Whitecaps on Sunday, September 1.

This is Pella of Dayton’s first year as a Dragons sponsor and their first time getting to throw the first pitch. As a sponsor, Dragons fans learn about Pella through media placements on local TV and radio, pre-game announcements, and program games, but the day of the game fans had the chance to learn about Pella products in person. This day, Pella also had use of the Dayton Dragons Plaza where they were able to do a live activation. The live activation included a demo of various Pella products, including a Lifestyle Series double-hung window.

The Dragons boast 1,316 consecutive sold out crowds since 2000, with an average of 7,868 fans in attendance at each game. The booth on the plaza presented a great opportunity to showcase Pella products to the Dragons’ sold-out crowd.

In addition to meeting many community members and Dragons fans, the highlight of the event was that the first pitch was a fun opportunity to honor long-time employee, Rusty Chatterton, who is service manager for the Pella team.
