HOMEARMA® Walworth Junction Project

The 57th edition of Homearama®, the nation’s oldest luxury home showcase, will be the first show ever held within the city limits of Cincinnati. The Developer, East End Development LLC, has created an urban neighborhood featuring 39 home sites. It offers incomparable city living with a neighborhood feel.

It is also the first infill home show developed from reclaimed Brownfields. The site, overlooking the scenic Ohio River, was formerly the Pennsylvania Railroad’s Pendleton Yard and contained a roundhouse, turntable and other structures related to railroad operations.
The builders that participated in this year’s show are JNB Custom Homes LLC, Redknot Homes (two homes), Frazier Homes, Sterling Homes (two homes) and Wieland Builders LLC. Each builder had a different vision for his or her home, which ranged from Modern to Victorian.
In addition to the unique location, these homes are anything but cookie-cutter. Fred Cernetisch, VP of Pella Windows & Doors Cincinnati, loves when structure and areas have a historic, traditional design interwoven with a contemporary flair. "Due to the fact that each home this year was unique and a mixture of old and new is a big reason why Pella was chosen,” says Fred. “Pella has a large range of products that are able to accommodate any look and feel."

In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, Pella Windows understands that energy performance is just as important when building a home. “We chose Pella windows for the Millard Fillmore [HOMEARMA® HOUSE], not only to match the classic styling but also because of their energy-efficient design, which was important for this LEED-certified home,” said Ingrid Resch, Marketing Manager of Wieland Builders LLC.
The Pella team is thrilled to work with all of these builders at HOMEARMA®. “This is a place to show off what these builders can do,” says Nathan Madden, Trade Sales Manager of Pella Windows and Doors of Greater Cincinnati. “We are just thankful and honored that they chose Pella to represent them. They did an amazing job and we look forward to being involved next year.”
