5 Entryway Summer Decorations We Love

posted on May 21, 2020 in Pella Windows & Doors of Harrisburg

As the cold weather is finally banished for the season, it’s around that time where we’re looking to upgrade the overall look of the outside of our homes. Bright sunlight means flowers, lawn décor, and decorating your entryway! If you’re looking to completely revamp your entryway, or noticed some air coming through your door this winter, it might be time to replace your entry door; however, if you’re simply trying to beautify your entryway and make a good impression on guests once we can have visitors again, try some of these beautiful summer entryway decorations that we’ve fallen in love with. Hint: some of them might just give you the perfect weekend DIY project!

Potted Plants

Not only can this add some greenery to your entryway, if you have the time, you can DIY the pots and add some color and flair to your entryway. Bonus points for this idea because these work both on the outside of your entryway and on the inside.

Large Welcome Signs

Nothing is warmer and inviting than a cute and large welcome sign. While we like this one from Etsy, there are a variety of options out there to find one that matches your taste and home perfectly. If you’re feeling ambitious, you can even make your own after a trip to your local crafts store.

Wreaths aren’t just for the holiday season. Summer flowers look amazing in wreaths and add a beautiful pop of color to your door. Add a sign to your wreath to dress it up even more!

Entry Mats

While this one is kind of a given, we challenge you not to just replace your entry mat when it’s worn out, but instead to change it with the season. A summer entry mat can have a cheekier saying, more color, and even be a bit lighter than one you might need in the winter.

Painted Crates or Ceramic Structures

Not only will these give you a great spot to put your potted plants, they also add some height and dimension to your entryway. Stack a few, or simply keep two to frame your entry door to add extra dynamic to your entryway.
