posted by Greg Sanchez on December 28, 2018 in Pella Windows & Doors of Kansas Project Scope Type: Home/Residence Industry: Trade Location: Salina, KS Age of Structure: 50 years Area of Structure Involved: Entire Home Window Materials Used: Wood casement windows The homeowners of this 50 year old Salina, KS home wanted to replace their original wood sliding windows with windows that updated the aesthetic of the home and had better energy efficiency. We installed wood casement windows featuring simulated divided light (SDL) grilles to emulate the original windows. The exterior gap where the old brickmould used to be was trimmed out with Pella's aluminum frame expander for a low maintenance exterior aluminum cladding. The end result is a look that is fresh yet mimics the original units with better energy efficiency. The homeowners were very pleased with the new windows and the warranty that came with them.
