Thursday, Aug. 26 was a hot day here in Northern New Jersey -- 95 degrees and humid -- but nothing could dim the enthusiasm for the Grand Opening of Pella Windows & Doors of New Jersey's New Main Office. We all gathered on this day for photos, speeches and the presentation of our Core Values winners.
Our Core Values awards winners were individuals who were nominated by their peers and exemplified our core values : "Care Deeply," " Learn Continuously," and "Achieve Results". The day continued with a food truck lunch of fajitas and BBQ courtesy of Luc's Fajita Hut. Dessert was Amanda Bananas frozen soft serve creations. In the afternoon we had a team-building event during which 16 teams answered questions to get parts to 16 children's bikes that were assembled and donated to three charities, the Jillian Fund, Kaleidoscope of Hope and the Hearts of Watchung.
