Revamping Patio Accessibilty in a 1970's home

POSTED ON in Northern Indiana Projects

The homeowners of this 1970's Fort Wayne, IN home wanted to change the accessibility to their patio space. Rather than having two patio door entrances, they only wanted one. So we removed the old four-wide french patio doors and made the opening into a large picture window. We trimmed exterior with Boral Composite trim and Azek PVC recessed panels. The picture window consists of a large wood fixed window with double-hung wood windows on either side for ventilation. Imagine the great breeze and air circulation that will bring!

We also removed the old wood casement windows above the kitchen sink and added a large wood fixed window. This provides an unobstructed view from their kitchen to their patio space.
