At Pella of Oklahoma, we love bringing your vision to life, but we might love contributing to our community even more. Recently, we had the opportunity to give back by donating windows to Pivot, Inc.’s newest project, a tiny home community. For over 50 years, Pivot has been advocating for our Oklahoma City youth, helping those who are disadvantaged or in need.

“Safe, stable and affordable housing is a significant barrier to the youth we serve,” says Jennifer Goodrich, Pivot president and CEO. “Whether they are aging out of the foster care system or are youth living on their own, we recognize that youth need assistance securing a safe and stable place to live.”

Giving Back with Window Donation for Affordable Housing

Pivot, with donations from dozens of local companies from across the metro, are building an inspiring tiny home community for youth transitioning out of homelessness or in need of a safe, stable living environment. The 85 planned tiny homes sit on 12 acres. Each home has a bedroom, small kitchen and bathroom. The youth living there will have access to Pivot’s services like education, employment assistance and mental health services.

Recently, Pivot received a grant from Impact Oklahoma to fund the first 12 houses, of which, Pella of Oklahoma is honored to be able to donate all the windows for the first three tiny homes. “It’s amazing to be part of a project that is impacting local youth in such a meaningful and immediate way,” says Andy Crum, CEO of Pella of Oklahoma.

Easy-Care Vinyl Windows Deliver Low Maintenance Durability

To help ensure these deserving youth don’t have any home maintenance to worry about, Pella of Oklahoma donated durable vinyl windows to the builds. Made with Pella’s fade resistant vinyl, the windows never need painting or refinishing. They are strong and energy-efficient too, keeping their residents comfortable, all year around, without worry.

At Pivot, they say, “it takes a community, to build a community” and Pella of Oklahoma is proud to be a part of it with this special project.
