Window Materials Used: WoodThis project was especially unique because the goal was to achieve a blend of traditional and contemporary styles in the president of Oklahoma State University's home. The architect wanted to maintain a classic look to match the architecture of the campus while giving it a more modern appearance. To accomplish this, we installed spanning arch windows that have a contemporary flat profile applied grille. Our Pella Reserve Traditional window frame and styles blended with the Reserve Contemporary Grille profiles helped achieve the architect's intent. One unique challenge with this project was having the horizontal grilles carry through an elevation. Meaning, the horizontal grilles maintain the same plane from window to door to window. Our team was able to help in the design by matching the stile profile with the use of a frame expander and blocking at the sill of the window. The giant arched windows off the front of the house are incredible and let in so much natural light.
