He also preferred the look of vertical lines that comes from sliding windows. Previously, traditional grille patterns on the windows overlooking the outdoor areas got in the way of a clear view as did the middle check rail of double-hung windows. We solved for the homeowner's issues by installing new Pella® Impervia® fiberglass windows without grilles, combining separate windows into larger, fixed picture windows, and replacing double-hung windows with sliding windows. All windows now afford great open views into both the front- and backyards as well as help improve the home's energy efficiency.
