Project Details

The homeowners of this Norman, Oklahoma home were looking for ways to modernize their front entryway. They wanted to bring in more natural light without sacrificing privacy and update the color of the red front door to provide contrast against their red brick.

Durable Fiberglass Delivers the Look of Wood Without Maintenance

In place of the old, solid red door with gold handle and kickplate, the homeowners chose a brown front door with glass and a nickel handle. The warm-toned finish looks amazing in contrast with the home's red brick exterior. The homeowner chose a classic white for the interior door color, which blends seamlessly with the rest of the home.

Conscious of first impressions and the amount of upkeep required, the homeowners chose to replace their old entry door with a durable fiberglass one. It resists warping, dents and rot and withstands extreme weather to provide long-lasting beauty and performance. This door also features a beautiful Mahogany-grain finish that delivers the look of wood, but in a low-maintenance, complete fiberglass panel and composite frame system.

Obscure Glass Maintains Home’s Privacy

The new front door contains a considerable amount of glass, brightening and enlarging the entryway of this home. With so much glass, the homeowners were concerned about maintaining their home’s privacy. They chose an obscure privacy glass to achieve the privacy that they desire without sacrificing natural light. The texture chosen enhances the look while providing a high level of privacy.

An elegant grip multipoint locking hardware in Satin Nickel from Pella’s Essential Collection adds timeless sophistication to the look while enhancing security. Overall, the homeowners are very happy with the additional natural light and enduring style the new door provides in their entry way.
