Project Details

Famous for its art deco architecture and vibrancy, Tulsa, Oklahoma is known as the world's largest small town. The homeowners of this brick home tucked amongst the lush landscaping of Green County wanted to bring some of the city’s vibrancy home. Their 57-year-old home was in desperate need of a front door upgrade. The old white front door was damaged with broken caulk lines and a fading exterior. Tired of being the eyesore of the block, the homeowners turned to Pella of Oklahoma to make their entryway bright and welcoming.

Eye-Catching Red Front Door Brightens Entry and Adds Privacy

We were able to replace the old rickety door with a beautiful and functional turn-key solution, just as the homeowners requested. The dated front door featured a large window that filled the home with natural light but didn’t offer the privacy that they desired. Looking for a vibrant upgrade, the homeowners decided on the bold pop of a custom red front door. We recommended a Craftsman front door with a decorative dentil shelf to brighten the façade. The charming door has a 1/4-light at the top, providing more privacy for the homeowners than their previous door.

Durable Fiberglass Delivers Lasting Energy-Efficiency

After dealing with cracked caulking and drafts in the summer and winter, it was important to the homeowners that they find a more durable solution. Their upgraded craftsman-style front door is made of a rot-resistant composite frame that is both durable and low maintenance. The fiberglass front door does not expand and contract like a wood one does, so it provides year-round energy efficiency, even in turbulent Oklahoma weather.

With a bold red hue and clean lines, the homeowners are elated with the upgrades their new front door provides. It delivers better curb appeal, enhanced energy efficiency and reliable operation they can depend on for years to come.
