For several years now, Pella Omaha employees have supported Abide Omaha with their time, talent and treasure as the nonprofit transforms the inner city one neighborhood at a time. On Wednesday, January 13, six members of the management team were honored to represent Pella at an Abide Open House and meet the hardworking family who was thrilled to be moving into their newly renovated home.
The employees who participated reported that they were proud to be representing Pella that day, wearing Pella gear and even serving up some Pella logo cookies. As one of the team members put it, “It was a great experience to be part of!”
Abide uses a holistic approach that focuses on developing healthy neighborhoods through four main areas: community building, family support, housing and partnerships. The Pella Omaha team saw firsthand how the efforts of a group of contributors that included Pella could make a difference not only in one family’s life, but inspire an entire neighborhood and ultimately the community.
