Replacing your windows comes with many decisions, one being which type of material you want to use for your window frames. Using vinyl for your windows has many benefits and at Pella, we offer a variety of customizations for your vinyl windows.
Benefits of Vinyl Replacement Windows
Energy Efficiency
The ever-changing Philadelphia weather can leave your thermostat constantly trying to keep up and, consequently, creating an uncomfortable temperature in your home. Replacing your windows with energy-efficient ones can keep your home at a comfortable temperature year-round by reflecting heat into your home during the winter and outside during the summer. In addition, vinyl window frames are made of plastics that provide natural insulation. This insulation, coupled with brand new window seals, can eliminate drafts and help your home maintain its interior temperature much more easily. Energy-efficient windows can also help to lower your utility bill, even during hot summers.
Budget-Friendly Price Point
Vinyl windows are an affordable option, allowing you to find a high-quality product within your budget. In addition, vinyl frames cost less than wood or fiberglass ones while still looking great and offering excellent performance.
Low maintenance
Vinyl windows are also a low-maintenance option. Our vinyl windows have a fade-resistant vinyl formula. They won't need to be repainted, stained or refinished due to their unique formula and durable features.
Versatility
There are various home styles in Philadelphia, including traditional homes like row houses in the historic Society and Old City neighborhoods. In contrast, in areas like Rittenhouse Square and core Center City, there are luxury high-rise condos. There is even a mix of modern and historic houses with a vast price range in areas like Mt. Airy, Chestnut Hill, Germantown and Northeast Philadelphia. Vinyl windows are an excellent option for any of these home styles as they can be made in versatile styles.

Pella 250 Series Vinyl Windows
At Pella, we offer vinyl frames in our 250 Series window line. We use a multi-chambered construction so that the frame can slow the transfer of heat. As for sizes, dual- and triple-pane designs are available in sizes up to 108" x 108" with a maximum of 40 sqare feet.
Pella 250 Series Styles
Our 250 Series windows are available in many different styles. For example, we did a full-frame replacement to install vinyl casement windows, which matched the remaining old windows perfectly. The new windows upgraded the home's aesthetic and energy efficiency.
Another vinyl casement example: Pella replaced this World War II veteran's double-hung windows that he installed when he first built his home with vinyl casement windows to provide enhanced airflow.
We used double-hung vinyl windows for homeowners who wanted to keep the same white color and look of their old windows while improving energy efficiency and having a clean look.
We also replaced this homeowner's old, inefficient windows with sliding windows to give their sunroom more functionality and energy efficiency.
You can also find our 250 Series vinyl windows in awning and single-hung windows.

Customization Options
Grilles
We offer multiple types of grille patterns and profiles such as prairie, custom, traditional or top row. We installed vinyl double-hung windows and replaced the previous traditional grille with prairie grilles to upgrade the appearance of this Harleysville home. We also have varying grille profiles of grilles-between-the-glass in ¾" or 5/8" flat.
Finishes
Our 250 Series vinyl windows can be made in different color options such as white, almond and fossil. We also offer dual-color frames in fossil, brown and black.

Casement and awning windows have a standard fold-away crank. Single- and double-hung windows have cam-action locks, optional auto locks and optional vent stops. Sliding windows have an integrated sash lift as well as the options for cam-action and auto locks. Vinyl window hardware is available in white, almond and fossil finishes.
