Team Pella:

Bella KlingBike MS: Escape to the Lake is a 150 mile bike ride that raises money for multiple sclerosis (MS) disease. Pella has had a corporate team annually for the past couple of years in order to support Pella Inside Sales Representative, Erin Kling.

The race is 150 miles and is from Moraine State Park, South Shore Beach to Conneaut, OH on June 9th and June 10th. You can bike for either 1 or 2 days. The ride starts north of Pittsburgh at Moraine State Park. You end in Meadville, PA on Day 1 at Allegheny College. There you can enjoy the celebrations, camaraderie, and festivities of the team village, live music, free beverage garden and more at the college. Day 2 of the ride goes straight to the shores of Lake Erie as you finish in Conneaut, OH. Post-race there are celebrations  in Conneaut to celebrate the completion of 'the ride of a lifetime'.

Before the Race!

The race is designed to raise money to help to find a cure for MS, a disease that affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide. MS or multiple sclerosis is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system. Often times, those diagnosed with MS could have a multitude of different symptoms ranging from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. No two people develop the same type or same degree of symptoms which is also why it's a difficult disease to both treat and find a cure for.

Pella has participated and been a sponsor for the Pella Corporate team for many years now and are proud to support Inside Sales Representative Erin Kling and her family and friends as they fight for this great cause! Many team members of the Pella of Pittsburgh team have made the ride in the past and continue to do so to support the fundraiser.

In order to ride with the team, team members must meet a certain threshold for fundraising. For the 1-day ride, the threshold is $200; for the 2-day ride, the threshold is $300 dollars; however, most team members far surpass and often have a higher fundraising goal than the threshold.

Pella Team

The Pella Team's goal is $30,000 dollars this year. To see how far we are to goal or to donate, you can go to the team page and choose who you'd like to donate to!

This is a cause that is near and dear not only to the Pella of Pittsburgh Gunton team, but to Gunton across all three of our branches where we have had both riders for and donations made to the Pittsburgh team's effort from across all divisions.

Bella and ErinThis year we're also quite proud of Kling's daughter, Bella, as she'll ride with her mom for the very first time, after having been involved in the race in a multitude of facets since she was merely 3 months old. Bella came and spoke to our Pittsburgh divisions team and amazed everyone attending with the her poise in front of a crowd and also her dedication to her mother! Bella has a goal this year to raise $2,000 for the ride and she is getting closer and closer to her goal every day! Support Bella's efforts.

We can't wait to see their success in the next two months and would like to wish Bella, Erin, and all of Team Pella the best of luck!
