Project Details

Nestled around the northern shore of Lake Washington, Lake Forest Park is a serene residential city boasting lush greenery and a peaceful ambiance. This suburb of Seattle was founded in 1912, meaning many older homes in the community are now due for updates. Take this 40-year-old home, for example. We removed its outdated front door and replaced it with a modern fiberglass front door. Stunning glass panels, complete with a modern sidelight, generously increased the amount of natural light in the entryway.

Modern Glass Door Maximizes Natural Light

The original door was solid wood and did not let natural light into the home. The new modern front door, which features four equal windows of glass, offers sleek lines and ample amounts of natural light. Plus, the sidelight on the right of the door allows even more sunlight to pour in and elevates the curb appeal of this entryway. In the Seattle area, where cloudy days are common, a naturally lit entryway is a coveted benefit that makes this home’s foyer more inviting. Also contributing to the welcoming look of this entryway is the contrast in colors. The black front door makes a bold design statement when paired with the blue siding.

"Looks awesome. Much more inviting and the modern touch I was looking for!"

Fiberglass Front Door Minimizes Maintenance

With a new fiberglass front door, this home’s curb appeal is elevated without any additional maintenance. The material is high performing and exceptionally durable, meaning the homeowner doesn’t need to worry about upkeep. Plus, the energy-efficient front door is engineered to resist drafts, leaks and moisture. This is especially important given Seattle’s rainy seasons.

Gold Hardware Furthers the Modern Feel

Completing the modern aesthetic of this front door is the gold hardware. It’s the perfect finishing touch, achieving clean lines and sleek finishes that complement the home. Our partnership with Baldwin® hardware adds a lasting impression, offering the homeowner professional-grade security and pick resistant locks.

The new fiberglass front door modernizes this home, leaving a beautiful first impression that sets the tone for the rest of the house. The replacement door elevates curb appeal and allows more natural light to flood the entryway. It’s now a space the homeowners are proud to show off and invite guests into.
