Project Details

Twenty-five miles north of Seattle on the Puget Sound sits the metropolitan city of Everett, Washington. The birthplace of Boeing airplanes, the coastal city has a quaint smalltown vibe with an emphasis on community. When this Everett homeowner wanted to replace their old box bay kitchen window, they came straight to Pella.

Picture Window Provides Uninterrupted Views of Backyard

The home’s kitchen looks out over the lush backyard full of budding trees. The old box bay window was not pretty and obstructed the view. It also did not have any decorative trim around it and was only a drywall return. The homeowners wanted the new kitchen window to provide an uninterrupted view of the backyard and have interior trim. They chose a different type of kitchen window, a picture window which is fixed and cannot open. Where the counter had previously been extended for the old window, the expert installer cut the excess countertop so the new picture window would be flush with the house.

Low-Maintenance Vinyl Makes Perfect Kitchen Window

The homeowners chose a crisp white window and white trim to brighten their kitchen and add a touch of character. The window is made of our exclusive vinyl formula and is durable, strong and energy efficient. Its multichambered frame slows the transfer of heat across the window, making the kitchen more comfortable year-round. Our fade-resistant vinyl is also easy to care for. It is performance tested and never needs repainted or refinished.

The homeowner is pleased with the clean appearance of the new window and can now enjoy an uninterrupted view of their backyard.
