Alpine, Utah contemporary home exterior

Project Details

Nestled in the mountainside of Alpine, thirty miles southeast of Salt Lake City, the home known as “The Mortiz” is a sight to be seen. Raykon Construction, a high-end custom home builder in the Utah valley area, was tasked to bring this project to life. As the local window and door experts, Pella partnered with Raykon for this large open concept home featured as part of the Utah Parade of Homes.

Contemporary Floor-to-Ceiling Windows Adorn Brick Façade

From the front, the home is somewhat unassuming. But, upon entrance, visitors are bathed in natural light from the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows constructing the rear of the home. The sleek lines, expansive glass and squared off sash profiles of the Pella Reserve – Contemporary picture windows contrast beautifully against the traditional red brick. The windows tower above the room with additional picture windows serving as transom windows to the combination below. It delivers pure, contemporary window design with minimal profiles and square grilles.

Durable Wood Windows Deliver Long-Lasting Beauty

Wood windows were selected for this prestigious build not only for their design flexibility, but for their durability as well. The interior of these pine wood windows is protected from moisture, decay and stains from mold and mildew as well as termite damage with EnduraGuard® advanced wood protection. Low-maintenance aluminum cladding on the exterior protects them from the elements like cold Utah winters, resisting rot and corrosion.

Raykon Construction, Hebdon Design Studio, Interior Concepts and Pella did a wonderful job collaborating to create this one-of-a-kind build. With carefully curated finishes and glass from ceiling to floor, the outcome of the project is nothing short of fantastic.
