
What can you tell us about your education background?
I was admitted to Virginia Commonwealth University in 2016 and began studying Creative and Strategic Advertising. I also picked up a minor in psychology last semester and am projected to graduate early in Fall 2019.
Are you originally from the Richmond area?
I am originally from Northern Virginia or "nova" as some would say, specifically in the city of Ashburn.
What are some of your hobbies/Interest?
I have always had a passion for writing, and all types; whether it be an essay for school, news reporting, poetry, or just writing for my leisure. I'd also like to say I have an artistic eye which I like to explore using a wide range of media, especially graphic design.
What made you want to intern at Pella?
After researching Pella and understanding the responsibilities of the position I felt that it would be a good fit. I was looking to put some of my skills to practice and gain experience with both the creative and strategy side with an actual company, so naturally it was a perfect match.
What are the top 3 strengths that will help you be be successful at Pella?
My dedication or promise to deliver is something that Pella will benefit from, giving that I am reliable, present, and always willing to contribute in anyway necessary. My current background is also an advantage, as VCU has equipped me with all the skills and knowledge to help Pella thrive. Lastly, I feel that my style of forward-thinking and innovation will allow this company to take risks and do things that competitors have yet to see.
What do you hope to learn from your time interning at Pella?
I hope to understand a little bit more about the advertising world and as it relates to a company, Pella specifically. In addition, I hope to gain a level of professionalism while working with important personnel and creating campaigns that I could add to my portfolio. I think that a great deal of my field relies on connections, so I hope to network with as many people as possible along the way!
